To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to his answer of 30 June, on DERA, if his public/private partnership proposals for DERA will permit it to borrow freely on the private financial market. [89811]

No decisions have been made on the future of DERA. If the outcome of the DERA Public Private Partnership study is that we establish DERA as a private company, it would have freedom of access to the private capital markets like any other private company.
