§ Ms JowellThe "Our Healthier Nation" Green Paper proposed four targets for improving health, three of which were expressed as reductions of mortality for people under 65. We received over 5,500 responses to the consultation, many of which commented on the implications of the proposals for older people and on the age range of the proposed targets.
We are currently developing the "Our Healthier Nation" White Paper taking full account of the consultation responses, including those relating to age limits on the targets. We plan to publish the White Paper in the spring.
