The Portsmouth Hospital National Health Service Trust and Royal Hospital Haslar work closely together and staff from both organisations work across both hospital sites. Doctors provide cover in certain specialties and staff are exchanged, in particular in cardiology and urology. No revenue transfer is involved. Haslar charges the NHS trust for the use of its magnetic resonance imaging scanner.
