Mr. Greenway

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he expects to receive the National Audit Office study into the surrender of handguns and compensation schemes. [66817]

Mr. Boateng

The arrangements for the submission of National Audit Office reports are a matter for the Comptroller and Auditor General, but I understand that his report on the handgun surrender and compensation schemes is likely to be submitted soon, following the final stages of clearance with the Departmental Accounting Officer which are currently in hand.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list how each new appointee to the Firearms Consultative Committee fulfils the criteria provided by section 22 of the Firearms (Amendment) Act 1988. [66816]
