§ Mr. JenkinsTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list the(a) per capital funding and (b) the standard spending assessment for each local authority's fire and rescue services in 1999–2000. [64846]
§ Mr. George HowarthThe following table sets out the provisional fire standard spending assessment for 1999–2000 and the amount per head of population for local authorities responsible for fire service funding. Some of these are constituent authorities of combined fire authorities. For example, Stoke-on-Trent City Council, together with the continuing part of Staffordshire County Council, form a combined fire authority for the former county of Staffordshire.
