To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions what plans he has to meet UK airlines prior to taking any policy decision on the future of the National Air Traffic Services. [73184]

We concluded a public consultation on our proposals for National Air Traffic Services Ltd. on 31 January 1999. The responses received are currently being analysed and we are grateful to a number of UK airlines for their detailed responses. These have provided us with a clear understanding of the thinking of NATS' main customers as we consider how best to deliver our policies for the future of NATS.
