178Wthe affected local authorities. It is considered that implications on traffic will diminish through the summer months but even with a start on works to address the problem in the near future, it will be some time before the position is substantially improved.
This is clearly a very serious problem. While others have primary responsibility for dealing with it, Welsh Office officials are working with the various interested parties to try to resolve the problem and I have called for regular reports on progress.
