To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he will make a statement on progress on introducing the Benefit Card. [68822]

At present, 204 post offices (89 in the North East, 115 in the South West) are operating Benefit Payment Service for Child Benefit. There are now nearly 36,000 Child Benefit customers using the Benefit Payment Card.
