Mr. Hill

The Department has an extensive programme of road safety research covering a wide range of topics, including development and evaluation of various safety measures and devices designed to reduce road accidents. Full details of current research and summaries of results of completed research are provided in a Road Safety Research Compendium which is available on the Department's website (http://www.roads.detr.gov.uk/roadsafety/index.htm) and in the Library of the House. The compendium also gives full references of published research reports. The latest edition will be published shortly. Details of the Department's other research programmes are also available.
