To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a statement on the current status of agreements with New Zealand regarding the supply of dairy produce. [79878]

Under the GATT Uruguay Round Agreement the EU can import certain quantities of butter and cheese from New Zealand at preferential rates of duty. The annual quotas and preferential rates are as follows:
