§ Ms Glenda JacksonA wide range of local initiatives to reduce car use on the journey to and from school already exist. My Department is drawing on this work to develop separate guidance on best practice for both local authorities and schools. The School Travel Advisory Group will move forward quickly to raise the profile of school travel issues and identify practical means of influencing behaviour.
