To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions if he will estimate the effect on Norfolk's SSA calculation of the introduction of a sparsity factor in relation to rural schools. [55028]

The Ward Sparsity factor in the Education SSA calculations contributes approximately £13.422m towards Norfolk CC's Education SSA for 1998–99 of £270.064m.
