Central Government pay police grant of 51 per cent. of actual expenditure up to the specified GAE limit. Local authorities meet the balance with the assistance of revenue support grant from central Government. The amount of revenue support grant paid on police expenditure is not separately identifiable because it is paid on the total eligible expenditure of each local authority.
