§ Mr. WilsonThe OECD Committee on International Investment and Multinational Enterprises (CIME) agreed at its meeting in June that the OECD Guidelines on Multinational Enterprises should be renewed. The Government, together with the majority of the other delegates, argued that this review should be completed in one year. We are strongly committed to the Guidelines, which set out our firm expectation of how UK companies should act in the areas that they cover. We are in the 885W process of developing our detailed objectives for the review, in discussion with business, trade unions and other interested parties.
