§ Angela EagleThe Government are working in partnership with lenders and insurers to encourage greater provision outside the orbit of government to provide increased security for all home owners. As part of that ongoing process, Ministers from this Department and the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions met representatives of the lending and insurance industries on 20 October, to discuss the industries' proposals for better protection for home owners, in particular the development of a new, standard mortgage payment insurance product.
