§ Mr. Doug HendersonDetails of the future Territorial Army Centres are contained in Modern Forces for a Modem World: A Territorial Army for a Modern World, copies of which were placed in the Library of the House yesterday.
The Library already holds a list of some 220 Ministry of Defence sites that are with the Defence Estate Organisation for disposal. The receipts from these sites will contribute to my Department's target of £700 million from sales of property.
632WIn July, when we announced the Strategic Defence Review, we estimated that the sale of TA sites would contribute some £30 million to the £700 million target. This estimate will be refined now it has been confirmed which property will be surplus to requirements.
