§ Mr. HuttonIn the twelve month period ending 31 October 1998, the total cost to Departmental funds of claims by employees and the public was £44,922.25 in respect of claims for personal injury and £18,800 in respect of compensation awarded to employees or ex-employees of the department as a result of proceedings in the Civil Service Appeal Board or the Employment Tribunal.
