§ Mr. FatchettWe have held meetings at Ministerial and official level in October with the leaders of the Kurdish Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, to discuss the agreement they signed in 413W Washington on 17 September. We remain strongly committed to supporting Kurdish reconciliation in northern Iraq, and will continue our contacts with these and other Iraqi-Kurdish parties. In Turkey our Embassy maintains regular contact with representatives of the People's Democracy Party (HADEP), as it does with all the major political parties.
