§ Ms JowellSince 1 May 1997, 137 staff on fixed term contracts have been and are still employed by the Department. In addition, we have employed 123 casuals who are still employed, and 85 casuals who have left. These figures do not include the National Health Service Estates Agency. We have also employed two special advisers.
