§ Ms Glenda JacksonTable 1.6 of Transport Statistics Great Britain 1997 shows that, for every billion passenger kilometres travelled in 1995 (latest figures), there were 1,507 two-wheeled motor vehicle users killed or seriously injured. The comparable figures for pedal cyclists were 881 and 611 for pedestrians. Motorcycle use, like other modes of transport, will be addressed in the Integrated Transport Policy White Paper.
