To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport if he will list the total(a) number and (b) value of the grants made by the Heritage Lottery Fund in the categories of (i) land, (ii) buildings, (iii) museums and galleries, (iv) industrial, transport and maritime and (v) manuscripts since its establishment in 1994. As at 24 March 1998, the breakdown of awards made by the Heritage Lottery Fund since 1994 is as follows:

Mr. Banks

Information on the number and value of awards made by the National Heritage Memorial Fund by heritage sector since 1980 is not readily available. However, the Fund has made 1,144 awards to date with a total value of £199m.
