§ Mr. MacdonaldThe Scottish vacant and derelict land survey 1996, (a copy of which is held in the House Library) records 894 hectares (1 hectare is approximately equivalent to 2.5 acres) of land as derelict in the City of Glasgow. The survey has limited information on derelict land known to be contaminated. In the 1996 survey, 196 hectares in the Glasgow Development Agency's area was recorded as contaminated.
Information on derelict or contaminated land is not held centrally by Parliamentary constituency.
