§ Mr. BoatengThe widely supported prioritisation of 999 calls is intended to improve response times to life-threatening calls, while maintaining the present standard for other less immediately urgent cases. A research evaluation is under way to test whether this initiative is successful in improving outcomes for patients. We have no present plans for a review.
