To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 425. [34726]

§ Mr. Fatchett
We have consistently supported UNSCR 425 and the territorial integrity of Lebanon. We welcome Israel's willingness to address this issue. UNSCR 425 does not however provide for any conditions to be set. We believe progress on all tracks of the peace process would help create the conditions for successful implementation of SCR 425.
