§ Ms Glenda JacksonMy Department consulted last year on a proposal to make an order under the Deregulation and Contracting Out Act 1994, with a view to relaxing the constraints on who may drive licensed private hire vehicles in the light of the Bensonv. Boyce judgment. The results of that consultation process are at present under consideration.
