§ Mr. RookerBetween 1 March 1989 when the Zoonoses Order 1989 came into force and 31 March this year, 3,751,707 birds have been sent for compulsory slaughter in Great Britain following confirmed infection with Salmonella enteritidis or Salmonella typhimurium. The total amount paid in compensation is £8,660,931.
