§ Mr. ByersAll independent boarding schools are monitored to check compliance with their statutory duties to provide satisfactory standards of premises, accommodation, instruction, staffing, and pupil welfare. Following the consultations on Sir William Utting's report on safeguards for children living away from home, we will be announcing our plans to improve these arrangements.
