§ Mr. Win GriffithsThe number of suspected cases of BSE reported in Wales in 1998 up to 29 May was 139, of which 49 cases had been confirmed.
The BSE epidemic continues in sharp decline. The number of suspected cases so far reported in 1998 in Wales is 32 per cent. less than for the same period in 1997.
