To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what are the estimated or projected numbers of people aged(a) 65 years or over, (b) 75 years or over and (c) 85 years or over in (i) North Staffordshire Health Authority area (ii) the West Midlands and (iii) the United Kingdom for (1) 1996, (2) 2001 and (3) 2006; and in each case what the figures are as a percentage of the total population.
