To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many of his Department's officials are currently seconded to non-Governmental organisations; and for what periods. [54422]

Mr. Tony Lloyd

As of 1 July 1998, there are 12 private sector secondments. In addition, two officers are currently working for Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs). The periods of secondment vary between 6 months and 2 years.
