§ Mr. MealeA train driver was charged with manslaughter and convicted following a fatal rail crash on 4 March 1989. Following a further fatal crash on 8 August 1996 charges were laid against a driver who was subsequently found not guilty. A driver has also been charged following a fatal crash on 19 September 1997. There have been no manslaughter charges brought against managers in this period.
