§ Ms Estelle MorrisThe Government have received a number of different representations supporting and opposing proposals to revise the current index for additional educational needs. The Government will not evaluate any of the options or take final decisions on the education SSA methodology for 1999–2000 until the autumn, after they have considered the views of local government as a whole. We have a manifesto commitment to ensure a fair distribution of grant.
