To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions what account he took in his proposals for applying the workplace parking taxation of the position of nursing staff who are charged for parking in hospital staff car parks. [53437]

We are aware that some employers already charge their staff for car parking.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions if he will introduce arrangements to exempt(a) nursing staff and (b) teaching staff from workplace parking taxation. [53465]

We shall issue a consultation document shortly that will discuss, among other things, possible exemptions to a levy on workplace parking.
