§ Clare ShortThe next meeting of the committee responsible within the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development for reviewing the Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises will be in November 1998. Prior to that meeting, the Department of Trade and Industry, (DTI) in conjunction with my Department and other interested Departments, will be drawing together UK experience with the Guidelines and objectives for the review. The DTI will be consulting business and trade union representatives, together with those NGOs who have expressed an interest in the Guidelines, and our aims for the review will take account of the views that they express. We expect to make our objectives public nearer the time.
