§ Ms Glenda JacksonThe four tenderers (consortiums) are: the Modern Highways Group, Road Management Group, UK Highways and Express Route. Each tenderer has submitted a claim for his tender preparation costs to be reimbursed. However, there are a number of instances where the tenderers have not submitted sufficient information in support of their claims to explain/justify their costs, and this information is being sought before a final settlement can be reached.

§ Ms Glenda JacksonThe Secretary of State will reimburse the tenderers their actual costs that were properly and reasonably incurred in preparing their tenders. It would be wrong for me to give an estimate of the likely total cost at this stage as it might prejudice the outstanding commercial negotiations with the tenderers.
