To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what representations he has received on the priorities for public spending over the planning period contained in the comprehensive spending review. [50503]

Mr. Darling

The Government received a very wide range of views during the course of the Review and Members of the House have made their views known on many different issues. The terms of reference were made available early in the process and individual departments approached interested bodies. Extensive consultation was conducted with experts and outsiders as part of the CSR process.
