§ Mr. FatchettElections to the first Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region were held on 24 May, in accordance with the provisions of the Basic Law. We hope that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government will build on these elections and work towards early realisation of the goal of a legislature elected entirely through universal suffrage.
