§ Mr. Doug HendersonMy right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary did not hold any meetings with representatives of human rights groups or Roma organisations during his visit to Prague in November. He discussed the situation of the Czech Roma minority in his meetings with President Havel and the Czech Foreign Minister as well as raising the issue in a speech at the Bohemia Foundation. My right hon. Friend the Foreign Secretary said that the Czech Government needed to address those issues which led the Roma to believe they had no future in the Czech Republic.
