§ The Prime Minister[holding answer 20 January 1998]: No. 10 Downing Street has a number of facilities for the disabled. Portable ramps are available to give access to the house; a passenger lift which can accommodate wheelchairs and which gives access to all floors; a stair climber to enable wheelchairs to be taken 717W up the main stairs; and a wheelchair lift to facilitate access to the State Rooms. A disabled toilet has also been installed.
Whilst no further work is planned, provision for the disabled is kept under review.
