§ The Minister of State, Department of Health (Baroness Jay of Paddington)There have been over 70 studies published worldwide examining any possible link between abortion and breast cancer. References for those studies published since 1995 have been placed in the Library. The Imperial Cancer Research Fund's Cancer Epidemiology Unit, which is the co-ordinating centre for the Collaborative Group on Hormonal Factors and Breast Cancer, is currently examining the worldwide evidence on abortion and breast cancer.
