To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will list the NHS trusts to which he appointed new chairs in the last round of appointments indicating the names of the new chairs. [28890]

The information will be published in March in the Department's Public Appointments Annual Report.

Mr. Steen

To ask the Secretary of State for Health when he expects to reply to the letter from Councillor Brian Yates of Jubilee Terrace, Kingswear, Devon, of 14 December 1997 concerning the nomination and selection of individuals to the boards of NHS trusts. [28351]

Mr. Milburn

We have no record of the letter from Councillor Yates ever having been received.
