To ask the President of the Board of Trade if staff of her Department and its agencies will be allowed to submit in-house bids when contracted out operations come up for contract renewal. [24395]

Options for achieving better quality at optimal cost will be considered on their merits in each case.

To ask the President of the Board of Trade if she will list those areas of operation which have been contracted out within her Department and its agencies, and the(a) name of the private sector company, (b) duration of contract, (c) cost and (d) number of employees involved; and when the contract will be due for renewal.
