§ Angela EagleThis year the Home Energy Efficiency Scheme should improve the insulation of 400,000 homes of low income families, and next year reduced VAT within the scheme should boost that by about 10 per cent. Our Capital Receipts initiative and the new Environmental Task Force will further increase activity.

§ Angela EagleA review of the scheme is being carried out to find out if it is helping the right people in the most effective way. I will consider carefully any options for developing the scheme which flow from the review.
