To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs which of the Britons killed in Chechnya on 8 December were or had been employed by the British Government. [64319]

Of the three Britons murdered in Chechnya, Mr. Rudolf Petschi had been employed by the British Government. Mr. Petschi served with the Royal Signals in the British Army from February 1976 to January 1998.
