§ Mr. StrawThe Security Service plans to begin releasing material from World War Two in January 1999. The process of reviewing for release its quite extensive stock of records for that period will take some time to complete. Under current plans, I do not expect the Service to begin reviewing its inter—war records before the year 2000.
