§ Mrs. BeckettUnder UK competition legislation, the Director General of Fair Trading is responsible for investigating allegations of anti-competitive and monopolistic behaviour.
In addition, if the behaviour fell under EC competition law, the Competition Directorate of the European Commission has the powers to gather the information necessary to assess a given case, and to terminate any infringements.
Complaints about alleged anti-competitive practices should therefore be forwarded to the Director General or the European Commission as the case may be.
