§ Mrs. BeckettCompetitiveness UK lies at the heart of my Department' s drive to help companies improve their performance. Under this initiative, a wide range of business people have been working directly with my Ministerial team in developing practical proposals to enhance UK competitiveness. This new partnership between Government and business will lead to policies for sustainable wealth creation, based on a high skill, high investment, innovative, modern economy.
