To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions what plans he has for the future of City Challenge. [811]

We will honour all existing funding commitments under City Challenge, thus allowing the remaining partnerships, subject to satisfactory performance, to complete their programmes within the agreed funding period.
