§ Mr. Tom ClarkeThe Department has increased the complement of staff engaged in Equal Opportunities work from 1997–98 which will enable plans to be developed for improving the opportunities for employees from ethnic minorities. Current figures show that the percentage of ethnic minority employees in my Department is above the Civil Service average.
