Mrs. Angela Knight

[holding answer 19 March 1997]: That information is not available.

Ms Harman

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list those companies involved in misselling personal pensions who compensated all those missold personal pensions. [21012]

Mrs. Knight

[holding answer 19 March 1997]: It is not possible to compile such a list at this stage since reviews of cases continue.

Ms Harman

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer when he expects that the process to compensate those missold personal pensions will be complete. [21013]

Mrs. Knight

[holding answer 19 March 1997]: The financial services regulators are working closely with firms responsible for sales of personal pensions to speed up the progress of reviews for those who have been missold personal pensions. The Government have made it absolutely clear to the pensions industry that rapid progress this year is imperative. Targets will be set once the PIA has concluded its top-level meetings with firms by the end of this month.
